The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to your community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area daily. The assistance issue established for intervention ordeals a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
